This Chinese Proverb is a great way to describe the community at Briefcase to Backpack.

We could easily tell you about the wonders of taking a career break and international travel, but that can just as easily be lost in translation. Instead, we want to show you through our personal experiences and stories. And more importantly, we want to involve you so that you can have your own experiences to share.

Keep in mind that there is no right or wrong way to planning a cultural career break – there is only your way. Not every experience is right for everyone, but by learning from others experiences, you can cultivate a path that is right for you.

This means that we want to hear from you! Let us know what questions you have when planning a cultural career break. And definitely share with us your experiences if you have already taken one. Share your career break experience here!
